Field Sales Representative - Pro Smoker

What you’ll do:

  • Work towards sales objectives and goals
  • Maintain contact with key markets and customers, while maximizing potential volume of orders
  • Plan sales activities to maximize profit from all segments of the Smoker market
  • Prepare and provide monthly sales activity planning to help align with company directives
  • Sell the company’s products to established customers and new prospects
  • Handle entire sales process from proposal to close
  • Track and report pipeline activity, prepare and maintain sales records for sales leads and account status
  • Fulfill customer needs and develop solutions when problems arise
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect key accounts; in person, email and by phone
  • Moderate overnight travel necessary to foster healthy relationships with customers and to encourage future sales growth
  • National travel required to attend trade shows including weekends; set up and tear down of company booth and display
  • Attend special training session or seminars
  • Learn the meat processing cycle from raw to finish
  • Assist in Equipment start-up when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior success in industry sales experience and customer relations is required
  • Must be customer driven with a positive attitude, show accountability and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe record
  • Ability to take initiative, plan and work independently
  • Willingness to cultivate career-growth opportunities and advancement within a progressive, forward-thinking firm with a proven record of steady growth
  • This position is mostly sedentary however some tasks may require lifting, bending or standing
  • In industry experience a plus
